Marc Ryan


Marc started Bampak in 2003 as a small family business. The business was originally based out of Jimboomba but has recently moved to Coolum Beach, Sunshine Coast. Over the years Bampak has grown significantly, now subcontracting to Tier 1 Contractors. 

Marc started in the industry as an apprentice Carpenter/Joiner on a large construction site. On completing his apprenticeship, he moved to Queensland from Victoria and continued work in the civil construction industry, where he commenced his supervisory roles.

Marc has more than 25 years in the civil, mining, construction and commercial industries. During this time, he has worked and managed large and small scale projects all over Australia. He prides himself on having an efficient and well managed team to ensure quality and safety throughout all projects. 

Marc’s philosophy for Bampak is “Big enough to deliver, small enough to listen”. His dedication and honesty helped him form valuable relationships with his clients. Marc always strives to get the best outcome for everyone involved in a project and provides support wherever he can.

He also puts time back into the community, through helping and supporting the local sporting associations, Jimboomba Redbacks AFL, Maroochydore Roos AFL and the Sunshine Coast Variety Queensland Twilight Races, which support the Variety Club. Marc can be contacted via:

Karen Ryan

Office Manager

Karen is the “K” in Bampak. As a family business, she has been part of the administration team since Bampak commenced in 2003. Karen supports the team with her friendly personality and assistance with any administrative tasks, including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and the operational requirements of the office. Anthony Kumar

Civil Engineer

Anthony is a degree qualified civil engineer who started his career in 2007 working on the structural and hydraulic design of bridges and culverts. For the next 10 years he expanded his skills, working through the roles of estimator, contracts administrator, maintenance engineer and project engineer. His experience has taken him all over Queensland, NSW and the UK before settling with Bampak in 2017.

Anthony has successfully delivered projects for local and state government authorities, private industry and commercial stakeholders including: the Gateway Bridge Duplication Project, London 2012 Olympics, Bruce Highway Upgrade (Cooroy to Curra) and the Inner City Bypass in Brisbane, amongst the most challenging.

Shaun Parsons

Construction Manager

Shaun is a qualified carpenter and builder with 15 years’ experience in all facets of construction. He has specialised in concrete structural works for the past 9 years. Shaun has proven his site Supervisor/Management experience on projects with Bampak and other Tier 1 and 2 contractors.

He has worked on many major projects such as Airport Link, Legacy Way, Adelaide Express Way Duplication Project, LNG Projects, and Roy Hill Development WA.

Shaun is committed to developing himself and is currently completing a Construction Management Degree full-time at Curtin University in Perth through correspondence. He demonstrates his dedication, motivation, determination and practical experience on every project practical, which is further reinforced by his educational pursuits.
